For the index page title :
| install wrote: | By Default, this mod will use the INDEX language key as forum index title, this is done like this in order to
allow portals to use the config sitename in case there is one.
You can change it in languages/en/common.php :
'INDEX' => 'Index page', |
Now, about the indexing matter, I really don't think it is related to the page titles.
If you did convert from phpBB, it could explain, phpBB3 urls aren't bot friendly at all, so Google may have felt a bit disappointed to see all these new fancy urls.
another thing that could matter as well is your outrageous signature, you end up with way too many links this way, and I saw several thread where you replied to yourself with very low content. I would not do this if I where you.
I strongly advise you to lower the amount of link in your signature to something decent, keep in mind that you should not go to much above 100 link per page!
Google and the other SE tend to be more strict on such matters ... At least Google does not hesitate much before it will drop a page with low content and the change between phpBB2 and phpBB3 urls makes it a lot worst, because a) it won't find the same links as before except for forums, and b) without redirection, the new url will be duplicate of the old one, still in it's crawling list. If you add the fact that the new urls are using a lot more variables, you understand why it's an SEO nightmare to convert from phpBB2 to phpBB3 without mod rewrite.
Implementing one of our mod_rewrite, would definitely help for indexing since all these fancy unrewritten URLs would be properly redirected to nicer and unique ones |

tnx i changed the index word.
about the phpbb2 that's right.
my forum before was phpbb2 and it indexd better than phpbb3.
i know the rewrite mods advantage but my problem is server load that i said here:
http://www.phpbb-seo.com/boards/advanced-seo-url/discussions-vt2469.html
about my signature : tnx i decreased it
since one of my friends that installed the advanced rewrite mod ,although his forum was not big but he suspenede because of high server load.
now i have another question:
the simple rewrite mod also will have the server load like advance or not? |
