| Google Webmaster Tools has a nice 90 day Googlebot activity graph under "Tools > Set crawl rate". Unless you see a prolonged change, I would not worry. My site experienced a slowdown in the "Number of pages crawled per day" plot after switching to phpBB V3. It lasted for a couple weeks. |

i can change it to fast but it says that we will use more resource ,what it means exactly?
i think that's because of installing my board at forum folder:
i think if i change in too root it will be better.what is your idea?

at phpbb2 i didn't use any rewrite mode either and i convert it to phpbb3 when it released .
because after installing these two seo mods from Apr 23 it is indexing my website so fast. 
plz help me i will do every thing that shoud.  |

| I see the spike in Googlebot activity, which is a good thing. It indicates Google found non-trivial changes and is "catching up" to them. I would not worry about the crawl rate... it only matters for mega-huge websites with 100s of thousands of pages. What is troubling is the "Time spent downloading a page" average of 3049 milliseconds. That's terribly slow. |

| For my site, phpBB V3 is significantly faster than V2. If your site is slow, get a faster host. In my book, around 1 second is OK. |
