Hey folks!
I just started using these mods for the first time today and they seem to be quite competent pieces of work!
Now, here's the thing; i didn't really like the idea of replacing all topics' titles with "topicX.html" when i first saw it in the address field, so i moved over the backed up files to the server, purged the cache and even cleansed the cache folder up, but the forum still seems to use the mod (the titles are still "topicX.html".)
Anyone know what's going on here?
I have Mixed SEO URL 0.4.4 installed in a 3.0.2 version of Olympus and i were trying the 1.0.2 version of the Optimal Titles mod.
P.S.
I've also installed the Dynamic Meta Tags mod version 0.2.4 that You have here and i'm another member who want to report that my forum also produces keywords with words like "the, and" etc.
In a topic about favourite position (in what i don't think i have to mention ) this mod chose these keywords:
the, time, have, all, like, too, but, one, for, you, and, what, this
And uh, not that i'm much of a mod-maker myself, but not a single one of those words fit well with this topic, neither title- nor content-wise. I figure it's quite difficult to make a piece of code to always "understand" which words it "should" chose in every topic, but whatever You guys are up to now, i think this mod could use some extra attention for a while. |

I think you are some how confusing between urls and page title, topicxx.html is a topic url in simple or mixed mod, but the page title will never us this, but rather "topic title : forum title" : http://phpbb3.phpbb-seo.net/demo-en/the-premod-demo-forum-t3.html
| Code: | | <title>The premod demo forum : The English speaking demo forum</title> |
About meta, the problem is related to the phpBB search engine. With phpBB2, we where able to filter search table using a word exclude list, and this helped a lot for keywords consistency, phpBB3 has the same type of features implemented, but unfortunately, it does not use them.
Only common words are filtered, which is our case does not help much, since the major keywords are filtered by these.
So, we will think about something, but do not forget that meta are not this important, the mod still provides with unique and related to the ending content meta tags.
