Hi Guys,
It seems as if I have screwed up the installation of Optimal Titles V1.0.2. Checkout www.its2hot.in and see the Page Title and you shall know.
Moreover don't forget to see "EG Delete" on the top left corner of your screen.
Above all I have lost formating of middle part (lower than the one decided by overall_header.html). See there is difference between margins of banner and the lower body.
Please help.

As with every mod, one must perform backups of the modified files (and db) to allow you to easily go back to normal when something goes wrong (in most case due to typos introduced while copy pasting).
So here, it looks like you did not properly followed the code changes for overall_header.html, the :
part is a comment within a standard replace with :
| Code: | #
#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]------------------------------------------
# EG Delete |
This particular replace with is asking you to replace something by nothing, which is a synonymous for delete, hence the comment

1) I've backed up my files using Cpanel.
But the issue is that few users have made some posts after I did the full backup. Is it possible to retain those posts If I choose to restore the entire backup?
2) I have changed the "EG Delete" thingy. Now its has gone be still there are other issues to be solved.
Please help. |

Looks like you've not understood my point.
I did not take backup of individual files. I did entire backup using Cpanel. Hence I if now restore the entire backup everything including db would be restored. Hence I may loose some data.
Is it possible to download the backup file (.taz or something). Uncompress it on my computer and they upload/replace the files that I have changed for this MOD? |

Once you will have installed the mod, you will have to empty the phpBB/cache/ folder before the mod will fully work,
just delete all files BUT the .htaccess. |
Above note is given in the instructions of "Dynamic Titles" Mod.
Now I remember that I have deleted all the files including .htaccess
Is it possible that I may have lost all the formatting due to this? |

1) Restoring only .htaccess didn't work.
2) I downloaded the most recent back up to my PC. Then uncompressed it and then uploaded all the required files from the backup to the server.
Purged the cache from ACP and now its fine.
Thank god.
BTW thanks to you too. |

Yeah, that's a good suggestion.
BTW do you know any good tutorial for FTP? (Yeah I sound silly)
I want to install the Gallery Mod but one MOD is CHMOD 777 which needs FTP knowledge. |
