php optimisation - any tips?

Hi people,

I've been optimising html small business websites for some time but I've recently taken on my first PHP based business website, is there anything I should know about this type of site from an optimisation point of view?

I have a few books on PHP but they don't really mention this level of detail

any help would be much appreiciated
