Well, this really depends on the content here.
Your forum is really young, and it's already a good thing to see it indexed.
Building a community is a long run, the first thing is to offer good content to start with, and then, to find ways for your user to come back (new good content is a good thing).
SEO can only increase the amount of SE referrals, but depending of the type of topic covered, the surrounding (competitors) and the quality of the content, it could still not mean many.
The idea is we optimize, and what's optimized is your content in SEs. So the results depends on it a lot, it's always better, but better than nothing could be not much.
If you maintain a good quality of content and update it on a regular basis, you'll get more visits.

Building a forum is tough. Well, building the software is easy, but building a userbase is the hard part. Try not to get discouraged. I know it's hard not to. Keep adding to your quality content and keep submitting your site to directories, forums and blogs far and wide.
Another thing that seems to help is domain age, and there's nothing that can make that process faster. |

Alas, success of a forum is measured in years, not days. Others have said it and I agree that building a self-sustaining forum requires about two years. That means content creation for the first year or two depends on "core" members, most notably the site owner. If there is a shortcut, I don't know it.
Few realize how much effort goes into creating and sustaining a successful forum. It is a ton of work, so you better enjoy it! For now, your focus must be on (a) content creation, and (b) quality backlinks. The best SEO in the world means nothing if you don't have content worth being indexed on the first three pages (and ideally the first five entries on the first page!). |
