I'm so completely new to this SEO stuff that I'm afraid of posting my questions. 
I made a sitemap.xml in my root directory www.ewanski-gbc.com but I was looking at www.sitemap.org for the format of my sitemap.xml
Because my domain name has a dash or a hyphen in it, I was wondering if I have to escape that in each url. Do you know?
This is one piece of my sitemap.xml:
| Code: | <url>
<loc>http://www.ewanski-gbc.com/about.php</loc>
<lastmod>2008-08-21</lastmod>
<changefreq>weekly</changefreq>
<priority>0.7</priority>
</url> |
Am I on the right track? or do I have to escape the colon, forward slashes and the dash?
