Keywords to a comment tag

I am reading some books about SEO and they say that placing comments inside the HTML Code like:



is useful for SEO. Is this true?

Well I don't think so.

It's possible that once upon a time, search engine where dumb enough to really take into account commented code within a page, but I really doubt it's still the case now.

Besides, it's clearly a spam-indexing technique, since these would be hidden for human users.

Not something I'd adivse to do Wink
