Hi all,
As you may have noticed, the phpBB SEO community has grown up quick, and everything is there for this to continue.
It is now time to end up this beta phase, to properly organize the web-site and to start a Team.
I see things this way :
1) Mods release need a better organization :
My idea about this is to start a dedicated forum for each big module, like the upcomming Google sitemap solution, or the mod rewrites.
And some more general forums, for patched mods, migrating from other mod rewrite etc ...
2) The team :
It is time to start recruiting.
The decisions concerning the community's life will be taken by the team, and since it's time to do some organization, getting involved now is a real good time, many important choices 
A lot of different profiles can find a role in the team, it's not only about code, far from this.
Articles and How-tos writing and publication, moderation, tests, news, translations will be more and more important with time.
About the phpBB SEO coding's, I wanted to end up the new mod rewrite architecture, to start building on an universal base. And its mostly done now : -http://phpbbdev.phpbb-seo.net/
Support for unlimited phpBB modules and mods will really start with this new one. The idea is to provide with a patch upon request.
Smartor album could be the first one the be released, but not only. PNphpBB and other postnuke phpBB porting are almost ready too thanks to some members participation.
This update was necessary in order to be able to URL rewrite all the phpBB module we could use at once without making the process heavier.
The new recipe does not even use RegEx any more, the same exact amount of steps are repeated whatever the number of cases.
On the above example :

Seo : 0.01096 s ( 17.80 % ) - 29 Titles ( 14.78 % ) - 84 URLs rewritten ( 85.22 % ) |
Less than 0.02 sec to rewrite 84 urls and inject 29 titles. Tests shows that it's mostly the same on slower servers, even if the total gen time is bigger.
Joining the phpBB SEO Team :
Getting involved a bit more in the phpBB SEO community will be an excellent occasion to learn a lot about SEO, but not only. Many advantages comes with getting involved in a community which has great chances to become big an well known.
phpBB SEO beta is already in alexa's top 100 000.
So if you are motivated to participate in a SEO solution sharing community, if you like to share and think you could be useful and give something to the project, PM me, the phpBB SEO project will give back to you
The pre-recruiting are opened. I say "pre", because no specific groups are set for now. The goal is to see what could be each one's contribution and to let the good ideas show up before we stick to a new organization.
If you're interested, PM me with a brief note about your intentions and goals among the project.
During the same time, this thread could be used to publicly talk about this announce.
Suggestions of all members are welcome it these time where they could end up implemented quickly.
