How often does Yahoo update its search results?

I'd say constantly, but with steps, more or less every month or so (can be two).

Look at how many backlinks Yahoo takes into account for your web sites, you'll see these updates, the backlinks are moving slowly, and all the sudden, a step is reached, at least if you post new links regularly.
