double urls after editing title

hi ,

im not sure if this should happen and if installing zero duplicate mod would slove it

i changed this http://www.ibsrocks.com/forum/ibsat-interviews-f69.html to this http://www.ibsrocks.com/forum/icfai-admissions-ibsat-interviews-f69.html

would google bot count this as two urls having same content - and penalise the PR

however i thought if som1 click on old url - it would automatically redirect to new one . would zero duplicate do this ? i though the advanced mod reqrite etc mods which i installed already would do this. coz it does it for thread urls. for example when u click on this http://www.ibsrocks.com/forum/loans-and-scholarships-t99.html it auto re-directs to this http://www.ibsrocks.com/forum/educational-loans-and-scholarships-t99.html
. so it works for thread urls but doesnt for simple subforum urls

Yes, that's because the mod only checks the URI by making sure the URI contains with the proper one, and it's the case when you add some words at the beginning of a thread like that.

The phpBB3 version checks the full url and does not have this "issue", we should upgrade the phpBB2 one in the future, when phpBB3 will let us more free time Wink

This means it would not be the case if you add changed :

but still the old urls is not re-directed

so i didnt get what u meant

Actually no forum urls are redirected right now : -http://www.ibsrocks.com/forum/duplicate-f69.html

But it's working for topics, so double check your viewforum.php code changes.

yeah its working for threads but not forums....howcome? does that mean zero duplicate mod is installed for threads but not for forums

wht should i check in viewforum.php
