Problem in post links within viewthreads

Postby ajo » Sat Mar 22, 2008 8:24 pm

Hello all :-)

Yesterday I installed Advanced SEO URL mod (0.4.0) in forum.

Once installed it works smoothly but I have two small problems:

1) Links to posts within a thread show like
instead of

2) All my theme styles point to ./style/xxxxxx.css so, if I setup virtual folders for topics or members the styles break up... I've thought of changing the theme to point style to /stype instead of ./style . Any other way?

Thanks for your help.

phpBB SEO is great :-)

1) Is this option "Yes" in the ACL?

Activate The No duplictate:
The No duplicate mod remplaces posts URLs with the corresponding Topic URL (with pagination).
It does not add any SQL, just a LEFT JOIN on a query already being performed, this could still mean a bit more work but should not be a problem for server load.

2) I thought this was covered in the mod, but anyway... verify your page includes a <base> tag, e.g.:

Code: Select all
<base href="" />

This sets the base for all relative references within the page. For example, if your forum is installed in phpBB3 but your virtual folder is the root, the <base> tag can change it to even though the visitor entered a (apparently) root level page.

I installed the Zero Duplicate, setting that option, and it worked nicely.

I also used the Optimal Titles mod, great work :-)

Thanks! :)
