Version of .htaccess that works from the phpBB root?

Postby MarkDHamill » Wed Jul 09, 2008 1:48 am

The .htaccess file works great when stored to the web root. However, the client I am working with uses FrontPage as his editor, and it won't let him edit files once I store the .htaccess file.

I found some topics suggesting work arounds and tried them but they did not work for him.

However, if I can have a version of the .htaccess file that works from the phpBB root directory all will be well. I am hoping someone has one that works for the advanced version.

Unfortunately I am no mod_Rewrite expert.

Very easy, just hit the "more option" option in the .htaccess generator, submit, then, hit "alternate location" and submit and you'll have the .htaccess to go in the forum dir.

Do not forget to delete the one at the root level once done ;)
