Forum and Profile URLs are rewritten, but Topic URLs are not

Postby karthik » Sun Jul 20, 2008 9:28 pm

Please look at my forum and kindly let me know if I've done the edits correctly. The topic titles are showing viewtopic ones as against the keyword rich ones. Did I set something wrong? Setting the virtual folder option does not change anything. The forum is running 3.0.2. I've installed the latest Adv URL Rewriting mod.

Thanks!

It looks like you missed some code changes in includes/functions_display.php, double check the file.

I as well recommend that you install / activate the zero duplicate mod ;)

Thanks for replying dcz, I'm sure I've made all the changes for the functions_display.php and viewtopic.php files. Its weird that only topic URLs are not being rewritten! The forum runs 3.0.2. Isn't the 0.4.2 version compatible with it?

Well 0.4.2 should work with 3.0.2 even though we just released 0.4.4, so you should update the mod before we look deeper into this ;)

Thanks for your patience! The earlier issue was that I completely missed viewforum.php - not sure how that happened!

Now, most issues are fixed, except that in the breadcrumbs at the top, on the viewforum page, the forum link is not rewritten, but the category link is.
Similarly, when you are on the viewforum page, the name of the forum just above the list of topics is not rewritten.

I checked your demo site and all seems to be working well - did I miss something? I double checked with the 0.4.4 version that I've made all the edits for the viewforum page.

The breadcrumb is built in includes/functions_display.php, please check this file.

Thanks for the quick reply dcz, I've triple checked the functions_display.php file - all changes have been made properly. And its not just the breadcrumbs alone (its working fine on the viewtopic page btw), on the viewforum page, the forum name just above the list of topics under the forum is not rewritten either.

Could you post here a link to a zip file of your functions_display.php ?
