hi it appears that my profile urls are not working, i have tried all the extra options which have had no effect, the profile urls used to work but have stopped recently.

Well, without knowing how are your profiles urls, it's hard to tell if this .htaccess works.

This .htaccess is set up to use profiles without ids : example.com/member/nickname

How are your profiles urls ?

Can you post or pm you forum url ?

the link to my profile given out on the forum index is
http://www.websinch.com/forum/member/SteelSlasher/
but it seems that the .htaccess should allow that link

[ignore]it is likely that i have two .htaccess files (one in /forum/ and one in the root)[/ignore]

i removed both .htaccess files and added a re-generated file to the root now it works but the css will not load through a virtual folder as the urls are made like this:
./style.php?id=X

which turns into:
forum/member/{username}/style.php?id=x

The css issue most likely related to un-complete code changes in your templates.

Your themes seems based on prosilver, the prosilver's code changes should thus match. Apply them and clear you theme's cache in style acp.

i thought i did that, then again i did change the theme a couple of times after installing phpbb seo, thanks for your help
