Forum URL not cached?

Postby dallasstar » Fri Sep 26, 2008 8:50 am

HI,

I used to have 2 forums with the same name. As that caused some troubles with the URL (one had to be 'sonstiges-fXX') I deleted one (which I didn't need anyway). But I still can't give the forum the URL sonstiges.html

Look at the screenshot:

When I try to rename the forum I get an error that there's a board with the same name - but it's deleted!!

Can someone help me?

So if you deleted the second forum with the same title, it's possible that it stayed in the phpbb_seo/cache/phpbb_cache.php file after you deleted it.

Just edit the file and delete the part referring to the deleted forum, the bit to delete should look like :
Code: Select all
19 => 'sonstiges',

or :
Code: Select all
19 => 'sonstiges-f19',

but with something else as an id (here it's 19).

You could have kept the two forums with the same title, but you'd need to set two different urls to be able to remove id on both.
