links to specific posts dont seem to be working since I upgraded my forum from 3.0.2 to 3.0.4 - I did NOT use the premodded packages you provide. I should have but only found out about them when trying to debug problems on my forum after using the official upgrade package.

So, my problem, links which go board/#p12345 etc do not work - they simply direct to the board index. htaccess file is unchanged, and these links used to work.

Any ideas/suggestions appreciated.

This is because you did not implement the template code change in all your themes, that is in viewtopic_body.html for this case.

Make sure you fully install the mod and report if you find part that do not match the find / replace from the install in you extra themes (other than prosilver and subsilver2 if any).

No, i mean the links are rendered but when clicked they just redirect to index page

What about the source code of the link, isn't it like :

dcz, late reply, but thanks, you were right and rechecked my edits and missed something.

However spotted another issue, on the members list all the letters of the alphabet lead to 404's

links end like this: /memberlist.php&first_char=a#memberlist

Any thoughts?

It's most likely again a copy past issue during install. Double check the cod change for memberlist.php and of course make sure you're using an up to date version of the url rewriting mod.
