Have you checked all the file edits to ensure that none were missed, skipped or improperly done?

Also, did you manage to get ALL the style related edits done to your custom style?

You need to look at the style edits for the style that your custom style was based off of, either prosilver or subsilver2 and apply all of the edits to your custom style, sometimes you will notice an edit is hard to locate but that is just because your theme is custom and the code isn't exactly the same but you still need to find the proper place for the edit and apply it.

We also recommend that you update to the latest version of phpBB3 (now at version 3.0.5) and our mod's (now at version 0.6.0 and all rewrite mod's have been combined into the new "Ultimate SEO URL" mod).

Either way, you need to check your edits because the jumpbox will work fine once the mod is properly installed.

Good luck.

Hi "Typo"

Yes, im using custom style and i believe i have edited all files accordingly - this custom style is based on subsilver2 , so i dont see any issue finding the code and edit... But anyhow i could miss someway... could you point me where exactly the jumpbox related code is? I mean the code changes...

FYI, im using latest phpbb3.0.5 and SEO 0.6

From the "style" file, my jumpbox.html is the same as subsilver2, and this file is not been edited for SEO. So, where else im missing?

After looking into this I realized the jumpbox is never rewritten because the bots don't even see it however if you use our phpBB SEO Zero duplicate mod you will see them redirected the way you want.

Just a curios, for the "notification email", why not all URL in "SEO" Mode, For an example, for this tread, i do receive email notification as below:

Code: Select all
If you want to view the newest post made since your last visit, click the following link:
Re: JumpBox - URL is not correct.

If you want to view the topic, click the following link:
JumpBox - URL is not correct.

Why the 1st URL not a clean URL?

So, dcz was in a hurry tonight but I did get an answer out of him for you in chat.

{dcz} @typo, Why the 1st URL not a clean URL? because it contains an extra param e= that is necessary for keeping track of the first unread post. If you follow that link, you'll have to be logged in and you will be redirected once done to the proper post.

{dcz} no need to say that bots do not receive notification emails

{Typo} ;p

{dcz} the viewforum.php link when using the jumpbox is the vanilla behaviors of phpBB since forum id is there sent through POST variables

Hope this clears things up for ya.

Hi,

Thanks for the clarification. What im expecting is something like below URL:

http://www.phpbb-seo.com/en/advanced-seo-url/article4889.html?e=28514#p28514 instead of http://www.phpbb-seo.com/en/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=4889&p=28553&e=28553

This is not for the bots, but to have standard clean URLs. :D

Well, it's just better to keep bad (but usefull for logged in users) links unrewritten because it allows you to disallow them in your robots.txt, which would not be the case with the example you mention, so, it's a genuine search engine optimization to do it like this ;)
