But all these mods are written for phpBB3.0.6 :!:

I guess we now know what's wrong.

So the easiest way to update would most likely be to go for the 3.0.6 premod since you installed all the mods standalone. Would save the hassle to update all them, and only focus on the other mods.
To do this, if you don't have this many mods additionally installed, the simpler is to just re install them on the premod, and use the premod moded files (just make sure you do not overwrite config.php, .htaccess and files in phpbb_seo/cache/) before you hit install/database_update.php and gym_sitemaps/gym_install.php in update mode.

If you have many mods, a frontal merge would be my way, you could compare your files with the latest premod ones using for example winmerge, and just worry about keeping the other mods code in the new files.

Hey dcz,

As said, I have updated the phpBB to 3.0.6. But all my problems still persist.

1)
Br33zer wrote: Accessing the profiles of members with usernames having a space, underscores and all caps gives a blank page.

As said before, if I enable profile ID removing, everything works fine. Even those three usernames profiles also open perfectly but the links on the profile page for Admin tools such as, Administrate User, Banning, etc don't work properly. And if I keep the username links to default /memberxx.html, even this will not help as those three usernames again show a blank page.

Viewing, those three profiles on IE7 gives this:
This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying.

2)
Br33zer wrote: I have already installed Zero Duplicate and No Dupe MODs, but still the post URLs don't show the topic title. They just appear as: -http://www.my-forum.com/#p1434 which clicked returns nothing. Infact by default the post URL should have been: -http://www.my-forum.com/post1434.html#p1434

I have noticed this that when I remove {SEO_BASE_HREF} under <head> in template/overall_header.html, then I see the post urls to be perfect, i.e, http://www.my-forum.com/my-topic-title.html#p1434 and if I don't remove it, they appear like http://www.my-forum.com/#p1434.

Please tell what should I do. Only these two problems I am facing. If needed, I'l supply all the edited files for the Ultimate URL MOD.

Thanks.

EDIT:

I have done this. I don't know if that is the best solution but it works like a charm:

phpBB SEO premod 3.0.6 released!

Now, only the profile link problem is left.

I am still waiting for the profile link problem(including admin and mod tools in profile) to be solved.

Hey, I have solved the profile urls problem too. Actually it was a mod which was giving a problem. Uninstalled it, and everything works fine now.

Image URL problem & URL rewrite

Postby magento-developer » Sat Mar 27, 2010 12:55 am

Hello everyone,
I have latest phpbb SEO installed. Everything is working fine.

Image URL problem
For example when I attach file, I have keyword1-keyword2.jpg, but when image appears in the post, it shows it like /resources/image/37
How could I preserve the original file name in the post, without pointing to external file?

URL rewrite problem
This is my current URL structure for the posts:
Code: Select all
http://sitename/keyword1-keyword2-t2.html

I'd like to remove the post id and .html so it will be in this format:
Code: Select all
http://sitename/keyword1-keyword2/

You can just post .htaccess rules to accomplish this.
Thank you!

Your help is greatly appreciated! :D

The attachment urls are built using the first line of the description, the example you provide seems an example of an url of an attached file with no description.
Example :
logo_phpbb_seo.jpg
phpBB SEO Logo
The phpBB SEO Logo
logo_phpbb_seo.jpg (40.48 KiB) Viewed 364 times

So you already have a full control on the keywords to use in these.
