prevent a link from rewriting

Postby diastasi » Wed Dec 02, 2009 7:53 am

Hi,
I am wondering if there is a way to prevent a specific link from been rewritten.
Im using a joomla but I could not find anywhere an answer in Internet.
When using inside joomla the "add suffixes to urls" the RSS stops working.
The specific problem are shown in lots of Joomla users but noone found an answer yet. It becomes from some mods installed in joomla (not the same everytime).

When enable the "add suffixes" the RSS link becomes
http://e-magazi.gr/home.feed?type=rss and does not work. Instead it leads to the webpage
When disable it the link becomes
http://e-magazi.gr/index.php?format=feed&type=rss and it works!!

The original Unwritten link is like that
http://e-magazi.gr/index.php?option=com_content&view=frontpage&Itemid=79&format=feed&type=rss

I had an idea that maybe preventing a specific link from been rewrittent would help.
Is there a possibility to do such thing??
My .htaccess is like that:
Code: Select all

It's rather hard, if not impossible in some cases, to prevent a link from being rewritten in the .htaccess.

Though, I would think of this as a regular bug rather as an url rewriting bug, because it's not really url rewriting to change the get variable in links.

I see.!!
I think you are right. So I tried something else and it worked.
I disabled the RSS and put an addon for RSS and worked.
Anyway.. once more thank you for your response ;)
