900 clicks per day is a real lot of clicks.

There is not much you can do to increase the amount of money per click as it is based on your sites content!

If you want to have higher CTR you have to have good content.If you dont have only forum you can use html tags for better content target for adsense.
I have about 3é-60 cents for click sometime abot 1 dolar, but many click lower price.Try to hide advertisiment for 2 days and again show it can help little

I get about 35,000 page views per day
my site in an Arabic forum ,I think this is the reason , no many Arabic Advertisers , so clicks value is very low

where you want to ignore adsense bot.it is not verified but some people after 1-2 mounts have better results but IT IS NOT IN ONE DAY this change take time

spy in the next few years I would imagine that adsense will increase the number of Arabic advertisers and so in the future you could earn some serious money from the amount of traffic you are getting.

I have Adsense in place in hopes one day my forum does well. Also to gain experience in developing the site. So far only $7USD in 3 months. It's not exactly paying for hosting.

Ah... this thread gives me a ray of hope. Seems a phpBB3 forum can return a lot from adsense. I'm getting 1000+ pageviews per day (but sometimes I dont even get a single hit on the ad !!!). Any idea about how much adsense should return in future for this statistics ? My visitors are confined in the forum, i.e. the homepage doesnt receive much view.

1000 page views a day is not much to earn money with adds (whatever the way).

Usually, you can't get much more than few $ per thousand pages displayed, and forums have usually a lower click rate than a blog or a directory.
It's very difficult to earn a living out of forum adds actually, but money is not all a forum can bring. For example, you can gain recognition, build trust and have your self known by a lot of people from being active in a forum. And these can be priceless if you have other paid service to offer.
