Just a general question about google and SEO...

I have links on a number of web directories, google "legal it forums" to see this:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q= ... s%22&meta=

but google shows my backlinks as 0:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?as_lq=ww ... tnG=Search

Why is this please?

Well first, if "legal it forums" is posted somewhere on the Internet, this does not necessarily mean there is a like together with it to you domain, people could talk about another site or just about yours but without posting a link. Just like here on this post

The correct search query to find out how many times Google found your URL mentioned in a page is : http://www.google.com/search?hl=all&q=a ... forums.com
and everything get backs to normal : 1 result.
As well 1 cached page so far : http://www.google.com/search?hl=all&q=s ... forums.com

If they provide true hard links as our SEO directory, then, they'll end up being discovered by bots and taken into account, but this as well depends if the page showing your link as some PageRank too.
