Ranking on non competitive keywords

Postby Alex006 » Sat Sep 23, 2006 12:09 pm

Hi

I'm setting up a new site on a non competitive keyword I think there are only about 325,000 results found on google.co.uk.

What is the fastest way I could try and get into the top 10 results for my non competitive keyword?

Any feedback much appreciated

Well, fast is always a matter of month for a totally new domain, but you can for sure do some things to make sure you won't lose to much time.

And the principle is here the same as if your where building your project on competitive keywords, it will just be a lot easier to show up in the first page of Google results, that's all.

So first, if the keyword fits nicely in a domain name, and you can by it, do it.
Then, if this is your main keyword, do not hesitate to use it in your content, write good articles about it, with it in the title and URL. And never forget you're making all this for human users, not bots, so do not en up with uninteresting content just because you managed to repeat keywords a hundred time in it, it will be useless.

And work on back-links, you want your keyword to appear in the text link ;)
