The only time google index my post is when i remove the sitemap.php
after that it so slow to index post.... the latest post i see in google in like 2 months old.... there are like 50 new post daily in my website...

this is what i get from most of the forums in google...

Can some one tell me whats wrong or did i configurate the sitemap setting wrong.

By post url you mean viewtopic.php?p=xx / postxx.html ?

Because, if so, post url should not be indexed at all, what we want to index are the topic urls (viewtopic.php?t=xx / topicxx.html / topic-title-txx.html) because post urls are just duplicate of these.

And that's what are mods are aiming, topic indexing, GYM will only list topic urls, and the zero duplicate will HTTP 301 redirect post urls to the corresponding topic url (with post redirection set to at least guest).

Note that all your forum's content can be accessed by topic urls, SEOwise, post urls are just useless.

Dude i been using seo premod for 5 month there like 6000 post in my forum and theres only 100 post index..
Yesterday i moved the sub directory in to root. Now my site is in gamehaxerz.com tell me how i can fix it.
and the gym site map theme is still pointing towards my sub directory.


I have a super active forum and all the post that are index are like 4 month old no new ones. google is always in my site. i get around 400 new post every day.

please man i need your help.

So you should reasonably have around 1000 indexed pages, but only the forums that bot can visit can be indexed.

Then, when you moved you forum from sub directory to root level, did you implement the required redirections ? Because you should, otherwise, it's like all your old content was lost.

Meaning in Google main acp, you have to enter the full url to the sitemap.php script eg :

if sitemap.php is to be found in :

Code: Select all

http://www.example.com/sitemap.php

The same principle applies to gymrss.php and map.php.

One more thing, my post are getting index but a super slow rate.
1356/190 been around 20 days already.. whats wrong. should i removed my robot.txt

Well if your forum previously was indexed with the natural urls, you should of course wait at least two (meaning it can be 6 if you want to be real sure, there is no real rush) months after you activated the zero duplicate before you implement the robots.txt.

If your forum was indeed with natural urls and you have doubts, remove the robots.txt and make sure that the zero dupe is up and running with the post redirection at least set to "guests".
