Call to undefined method phpbb_seo::prepare_iurl()

Postby death99 » Sat Jun 13, 2009 1:35 pm

Hello, this is the first time I've used the GYM Sitemap's mod. The phpBB-SEO rewriting mod works great itself
The problem I'm having is the error in the topic. It happens whenever I try to News, Site map, or RSS.

Here is the full error:

For sitemaps its:
Code: Select all
Fatal error: Call to undefined method phpbb_seo::prepare_iurl() in /home/******/public_html/forum/gym_sitemaps/display/display_topics.php on line 193

For RSS its:
Code: Select all
Fatal error: Call to undefined method phpbb_seo::prepare_iurl() in /home/******/public_html/forum/gym_sitemaps/includes/gym_sitemaps.php on line 536

For News its:
Code: Select all
Fatal error: Call to undefined method phpbb_seo::prepare_iurl() in /home/******/public_html/forum/gym_sitemaps/display/display_posts.php on line 179

Anyway to fix this problem? :?

This looks to me like you either missed a step in the install instructions.

Check these steps carefully and make sure you followed all of them completely.

===> To Install, just follow these five easy steps <===

  • 1) Upload root/*.* to *.* (EG upload all files from root/ to your phpBB directory.
  • 2) CHMOD gym_sitemaps/cache/ to 0777
  • 3) Connect yourself as admin and go to -www.yourdomain.com/phpbb_folder/gym_sitemaps/gym_install.php to install
  • 4) Apply the code change bellow and upload the modified files or just use the premodified file, in case you are running a vanilla phpBB3.0.3, to be found in contrib/phpbb3.0.3_files/
  • 5) Refresh your theme's cache as well as phpBB's cache (ACP => STYLE, Themes and Templates => Refresh).

If your sure you followed ALL 5 of those then you need to go back and check your file edits. Quite often it ends up being something like accidentally taking a "add on a new line before" and treating it like a "add on a new line after".

Good luck.

This most likely means that you're not running the latest ultimate SEO URL mod with the latest GYM, you need all SEO mods up to date with this version.

Beside, knowledge sharing is not a competition, and I am very far from knowing everything ;)
