digest is just here to distinguish among the several possible type of feeds (news, digest, regular etc), so it's still useful IMHO. What you could do would be to set up a custom site title for you feeds in acp, to end up having : "Bulldogboard.eu - American Bulldogs United - Digest" as title (must by default be done for forum and main RSS module).
The golden goal would be, if i could set up a couple of site descriptions for the feeds. Cause i use my feeds to get backlinks from rss-directorys. With a changing site description the risc of doublicate content will be lower. Do you know what i mean (sorry my english is'nt good enough for such a kind of conversation )?
After i began to register my feeds in several directorys, my traffic becomes more and more. And a nice result (not the primary one but even nice *gg*) is a higher adsense income
Multi-description is not handled yet, but it could be an idea for the future
Though, you can already distinguish the main feed desc (eg gymrss.php or rss/rss.xml) from the forum ones (eg gymrss.php?forum(=xx) and rss/(forum-name/)forum.xml), so you could (at least for the two main ones (eg gymrss.php and gymrss.php?forum) set up different desc for the main and the forum module in acp, and then alternatively submit one or the other (evn both)
