Problems with common.php (GYM Sitemaps & RSS Installation)

Postby Ore1983 » Sun Mar 21, 2010 3:22 pm

Hi all!

I've recently installed the GYM Sitemaps & RSS MOD.

The installation was well, but when I log out admin account, the Board turned white. Blank pages appeared in all the Board and was permanently inaccesible. No errors were found.

I have four languages installed (I've copied the English files and folders to all languages), and finally I discovered that the problem was related with the edited common.php file in Spanish language (the Spanish are the primary language of my board). If I hold the modification in the English common.php file, all works fine, but Spanish common.php can't have the moddification applied.

For to work fine, is neccesary to change the common.php file in all languages or only in the English?.

After installing GYM Sitemaps & RSS MOD, some menus appear in English, is normal?.

Thanks for all.

If you did not use an utf8 without bom capable editor such as notepad++, then, it could explain the trouble.

The parts in common.php are only used if you use the code to display feeds anywhere in your board. And it's rather normal to see some english if you did not translated the languages files you added for GYM.

Thanks for all, DCZ

This was exactly the problem. I don't know why, the file had lost its format.

It's rare, because I'd used NotePad to edit all files.

The problem was solved thanks to your indications.

Great MODs in this site. Congratulations.
