Language file for "ACP_CAT_PHPBB_SEO" and other questions

Postby Alien_Time » Thu Jan 26, 2012 12:14 pm

First of all I want to say that this MOD is really great. I have been using this MOD for a few years now and its one the first mods that I installed in my board. So, first I want to say "Thank you" to the MOD authors.

I just updated my old version of this MOD that I had from v 2.0.0 to this new version "gym_sitemapsV2-0-3". I transfered all the files and did the update as per the install file and everything is fine. however, I notice that in ACP it still shows "ACP_CAT_PHPBB_SEO" for me. I had this in my last version as well but never really went ahead looking into it. I have been searching in this forum here and I noticed that this issue has been addressed in a few places here and you have suggested that if it shows "ACP_CAT_PHPBB_SEO" in ACP, then it means that the language file for this MOD is not transferred. You had suggested to transfer the language file in language/en/acp/.... I had a look at the downloaded files and it does not have any language file for ACP. So did I miss something? would you be able to tell me which language file I need to transfer?

I have one more question I need to clarify. I understand that in order for the URL rewriting to work with this MOD, I need to install the phpBB SEO Ultimate SEO URL MOD. So basically URL rewriting is not part of this MOD but rather its works together with the other MOD that is used for URL rewriting. Is that correct?

also one more question - I currently have set this option "Links on index:" as "No" in my ACP so the links doesnt show under each forums. But my question is, does this have an effect on the bots crawling if I dont display the sitemapindex for each forums? in other words, would you recommend to set this to "yes" instead if this is gonna help out with the better crawlings of the search engine bots etc.. or is this just our option?
