Your web hosting provider?

Postby 0zas » Fri May 14, 2010 8:10 am

I apologize for the possible off-topic. Guys, could you tell me which web hosting company you are using at the moment? I have a problem because my current web hosting company hostrator.com is kicking me off. They say that our website is using too many server resources. But our website only gets 300 visitors per day..

Anyway, what would be your recommendations? Are you happy with your web hosting providers?

I am checking http://www.hosting24.com/ at the moment, but is it real that they can provide unlimited disk space?
I have contacted them and they say something like "1000GB disk drive costs only $30 per month, so if some day we will start running out of disk space we will simply add a new 1000GB drive so can continue uploading..".

What do you think about it? Any ideas and web hosting company name suggestions are much appreciated.

hostrator.com ?

I currently use hostgator.com and get more traffic than what you said. Not once have they complained about the resources my site uses. (heavily modded forum)
You could also use jaguarpc.com for your needs. You can pay as little as $7 a month I believe it was. I was on their semi-dedicated plan for around $25 per month for years. Being semi-dedicated they only host around 15 sites per server, not a couple of hundred. I no longer need that much service. I let them go as I had hostgator already for many of my files I store.

You can't go wrong with either if you ask me.

Hostgator is established web host, you will not make a mistake if you will use their services. There are also some smaller web hosting companies which specialize on phpBB hosting - just google for "phpBB web hosting" and you will find them.

0zas, you definitely need to deviate to another web hosting. Your current hosting cannot support the requirements of your domain. I am also currently using hostgator web hosting. As of now I have no problem of using my web hosting. It is also cheaper than the other.

All hosting plans have ups and downs at some point. You can try 2-3 and choose the best one.
