Since it's talking about SEO, you probably should implement some of our SEO mods available here for phpBB3 ;)

We are now a revenue sharing forum, you can enter your adsense ID on your profile and your ads will be shown 50% of the time on threads you create.

Really, that's interesting. Never thought about that concept. Would be curious how that goes. Was that a MOD that you built or?

So that's only for threads you CREATE not contribute to?

Ad revenue sharing is usually pretty easy, you could add a custom profile field for user to enter their AdSense ID, and then use a bit of rand() to pick the AdSense id among users who posted in each thread (or the topic started only).
Usually, sites doing so will keep 50% of ad display for the site, and then share other among topic posters.

Of course, it's possible to apply the same principle with other ad systems, and even to mix them (user a uses AdSense, user b uses yahoo etc ) if you code a bit more.

It's an interesting concept but I would worry that it would promote more SPAM or careless comments just to get into the rotation.

At the same time, for an older boards with more content I think it could be a nice way of rewarding longtime users on the site who have contributed to the community over time. Perhaps making it an "INVITE" only system once the board has developed.

Will have to spin on this a bit.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CASE in /home/conorod/public_html/includes/functions_content.php on line 1174

Looks like you're missing a " }". I'm sure you'll figure it out. Just so happens to be when I was about to check out the forum, I hate it when that happens to me on my websites.

Good luck with the forum, a competitive market to say the least.
