Dr. House Forum - with phpBB SEO

Postby mj1985 » Wed Dec 16, 2009 12:53 am

First of all, thanks for the great mods.

Ok, lets introduce my site.
http://www.drhouse-forum.de
Its a german Dr. House Forum with information about the medical series, the actors/actress, of course some spoilers about upcomming episodes, creative stuff like wallpapers, fanfictions, rollplaying-games and we've got a gallery (with SEO ^^).

The forum opened early November 2009, we got 43 members nearly 5000 postings.

If you've got feedback, post it.

Its a good site with some nice modifications implemented. The phpBB-SEO optimization looks like it is working well :D

I would suggest using the "Highslide" plugin for the gallery. I like it.

Why doesn't your "news" link work properly? I mean, when you click ImageNews in the footer, it just goes to the homepage: http://www.drhouse-forum.de/
Can you fix that? Did you disable it?

Also, your header does not look good for small monitors. Try stretching your window smaller and you will see that the google ad drops down below your site logo. I would suggest redesigning the overall_header.html as well as modifying your entire "style" so that you have a more original theme and template style.

Looks good! Great work on a nice niche community.

Thanks for the feedback.

I forget to enable the News again, so it works now.

The Highslide Plugin for the gallery is nice, but I dont know how to implent it only on the image-page and when I click on the picture I get the fullpicture via "HighSlide". I think I look at the plugin again.

And yes the header isn't final yet, I think I have to edit the overall_header.html and the picture as well.

Edit: OK, figured out how 'HighSlide' work :) and how I configure the gallery right. Nice plugin.
