Rewrite not working

Postby berttt » Tue Sep 02, 2014 2:14 pm

Hey Guys,

I have been trying to use the mixed mode for a while, but the urls do not seem to do the proper rewrite.
Would it be possible for you to have a look what I am doing wrong?
The page is http://haaruitval-forum.nl/

I have created the .htaccess and this is succesfully written. I have verified this by download the file manually and checking the contents, which look correct.
Is there maybe something wrong with my php config?

hopefully you can help me out!

Thank you
berttt

Your .htaccess actually seems in place since rewritten links do work : http://haaruitval-forum.nl/forum-f2.html

The mod may just not be installed (fully?) or activated (in acp). You need to activate it in pbpBB SEO acp category (phpBB SEO class settings). Installation require many code changes in phpBB files, make sure that they are all there.

Thank you for your reply. I was not sure this forum was still active:).

OK you are right so the .htaccess does work, but the plugin seems not activated.
Should I make these phpbb changes manually? Or should the plugin do this?

I currently have rewriting set to 'Mixed', and activate url rewriting to yes.

Clear board cache (delete everything in the /cache/ folder [NOT /phpbb_seo/cache/] except for .htaccess and index.htm

Should I make these phpbb changes manually? Or should the plugin do this?

If you use phpBB SEO Ultimate SEO URL V 0.7.0 and not the preMod you have manually edit the files (including /style/ changes).
In case of a new forum installing the preMod makes the most sense IMHO.

Have you correctly followed the installation steps for phpBB SEO Ultimate SEO URL V 0.7.0 ?
I install and configure phpBB-SEO (and other mods) for a fair price and very fast. If you are interested simply send me a private message.
