Wrong URL for sub-domain

Postby anandharaj » Sat Jul 04, 2009 2:49 pm

Hi,

Currently my forum is in domain's root (http://www.tamilminnal.net), now i have created a new sub folder for this SEO and created sub-domain to point into this new subfolder (forum.tamilminnal.net)

Once the "forum.tamilminnal.net" is completed with SEO mod, i will redirect http://www.tamilminnal.net to this sub-domain - i will create a new page for my main domain, so the forum will be accessible via sub-domain.

The problem is, my new sub-domain with SEO mod, detect "www.tamilminnal.net" instead of "forum.tamilminnal.net" - how do i solve this issue? where i need to configure this?

Advance Thanks

Hi,

I manage to solve the sub-domain issue - the setting was in ACP ("Server Domain")

Now i have other question, hope you guys can help me to clarify.

1. My forum title in "keywords/" form, how do i make it as "keywords.html". For the topic, it should be "forum-keywords/topic.html"
2. My topic's url does not have the real topic title, right now it shows as "topic100.html" - how do i make the url for topic is from topic's title/subject?
3. Member profile - right now its in "member/username/" - how to make it as "member/username.html"?

To get more clear view, just take a look my site: forum.tamilminnal.net

  1. Just activate the forum id removing option, and then configure your forum urls in acp
  2. This is because you're using the mixed mode, in mixed mode default urls are static, but you still can set custom url with keywords on a per case basis with the SQL rewriting option activated. If you want all your topics to have the topic title injected in URLs, switch to advanced mode, the proper redirection will be made automatically by the zero duplicate.
  3. Just do not activate the virtual folder option for profiles. Changing this option will require an .htaccess update.
