SEO phpBB2 error in update index.php ?

Hi there,

I downloaded instructions : phpBB-SEO-Advanced-mod-Rewrite_V_0.2.4.txt
Following instructions:
#
#-----------------------------------------------
# index.php
#
#-----------------------------------------------
# if (isset($display_categories) && $display_categories)
{
#
#-----------------------------------------------
#
// http://www.phpBB-SEO.com SEO TOOLKIT BEGIN
if ( !isset($phpbb_seo->seo_url) ) {
$phpbb_seo->seo_url = $phpbb_seo->format_url($category_rows, $phpbb_seo->seo_static);
}
// http://www.phpBB-SEO.com SEO TOOLKIT END

I can not find "if (isset($display_categories) ..." in my index.php
Could this be an error ?

Please help me out here.

Best regards,
Bonaparte

Here is our live .htacess:

#<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
#RewriteEngine On
#RewriteBase /
#</IfModule>

# You could need to un-comment the following line
#Options +FollowSymlinks ...
