News of Search Engine Otpimisations

yesterday tried to search some persian keyword about phpbb in internet
i tried this words that are combination of an english word and a persian word:

the persian words pronounced "maghale" and means "article" in english
its the resoult of google



i shocked when i see this result
this forum is an english forum. (how its possible that this forum contains persian words). i remembered that i posted some persian keywords in in this forum
i have a question

there is lot of persian article about phpbb in web (my forum contains lot of these articles ...

Anyone know if it's normal to have a search engine bot stay on your site for many hours? I have a Ask Jeeves bot that has been on my site for almost 24 hours now. is it stuck, or can this be normal for a search engine bot to stay so long? RobotStats does not even document it even though the IP's match. at first I thought it just kept visiting... but now I think it's just "parked" on my site.

any ideas?

i have waited 3 week but only a few page of my forum
are indexed in google database
i've installed robostats script and it shows that google
can see my page and it will come to my forum many times
but only a few number of my pages are indexed in google database
(maybe i'm not patient enough)
how many time i must wait? :wink: ...

Hi, I've been trying for a while to get rid of old URL's of my site from Google. I submited links for spesific subdirectorys to be removed. but google still seems to be searching for these old URL's. or subfolders inside my old phpbb directory too.

In my robots.txt file I have a Dissallow /forum/ the old name of my phpbb. but the directory does not exist on my site... I figured this was okay since search engines usually scan robot.txt first before indexing a site right?


Why would google still be looking for a subdiectory or URL that I ...

I have been observing the past few days that any search query including "phpbb" on MSN Search just outputs a nice blank page (FF and IE).
And it is the same with MSN France, so it really seem to be something concerning their main database.

I mailed them, with no answers so far, and I am wondering if you experience the same results.

Is phpBB Banned From MSN Search ?

This seems to concern all queries including "phpbb", and "special" search commands such as site:www.phpbb.com.

And it's the same if "phpbb" is part of a bigger word.

Very odd, ...
