Installed phpBB SEO, got a back and now want to restore

Postby Daku » Thu Nov 06, 2008 8:33 pm

I have installed the forums on -www.domain1.com with advanced php SEO mod.

I did a back up of the whole forum.

Now I have changed the domain name to -www.domain2.com

whenever I restore the backup, the links in the forums takes me to -www.domain1.com/blahblah-f2 etc

how can I fix it?

Did you go into Server Settings and change the Domain Name? That should fix the problem.

Exactly, you need to tell phpBB3 about the new domain that's all.

Please note that changing domain will change all your urls, so you'll need to HTTP 301 redirect the old domain to the new one in order to keep your current SERPs and indexing.
