Problem: Download attachments by Download Managers

Postby kar » Sun Jan 04, 2009 7:55 pm

Good day.
Happy new year.
Sorry for my English.
I have a strange problem. I want to ban visitors to download attachments. When I was temporarily banned in the local area network to download, I have a problem.
If I download attachments by the browser, all downloaded properly. But if download from browser and using Download Managers (Reget, Download Master, FreeDownloadManangers and etc) - I have problem. Instead, download the attachment, downloaded file "file.php"
The same problem seems not only to me. Examples of sites:
1. Site -http://www.tonetwist.com/s40-games/download-gameloft-collection-128x128-t124-15.html
User belok1
Password belok1
Uses phpbb-seo
File skateslam_139.zip
File via Download Managers are not downloaded. Used subfolder

2. Site -http://www.schlu.net/forum/index.php?f=8&p=12295&rb_view=viewtopic
User belok1
Password belok1
Do not use phpbb-seo, used the bridge for Joomla
File via Download Managers are not downloaded. Used subfolder

3. Site -http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?f=223&t=45699

Do not use phpbb-seo, is a bridge to Joomla, without Subfolders
File via Download Managers downloaded properly. Dont use a subfolder.

I have a test forum to phpbb3-premod 3.0.4 in subfolder /forum/. If download using a web browser, downloaded properly. If the link to click the right mouse button and then select "Download using Reget", the attachment is not downloaded. "File.php" download files with the text "You are not authorised to download this attachment"

Browsers: FIrefox2/3, IE6
Reget, Download Master, FreeDownloadMananger etc
Servers: Apache 2.0 (WinXp, Linux)
phpbbseo-premod 3.0.4 and 3.0.3

Log by Reget:
Output 4 23:29:55 4.1.2009 GET /download/file.php?id=757 HTTP/1.1

Input 5 Expires: 0
Input 5 Pragma: no-cache

Input 5 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8

P.S. site http://phpbb3.phpbb-seo.net/demo-en/a-z ... d-t39.html downloaded properly. Perhaps because the guests can download the attachment. Or maybe because there is no subfolder

Help solve the problem.
We are grateful.

Yes I think that this is only occurring for private downloads, the download accelerator is likely not able to deal with phpBB sessions.

I don't think that a fix is possible, unless you mod the download app itself.
