PHPBB SEO Issue

Hi guys

I just wondered i am setting up a PHPBB forum at the moment, its the the open source one at phpbb.com its the latest version on the website at the moment, but i do have an SEO issue.

In the overallheader file i have added meta descriptions and keywords but now this remains the same over the whole forum no matter which post you are viewing etc. So search results for certain posts on the forum all contain this global meta description and keywords. My question is does anyone know how i can just keep my meta tags static for the forum index page ONLY but on the rest of the pages such as for a certain topic the description and keywords will be picked up by the Google bot depending on the content of the actual post etc?

That's what phpBB does by default, there is no dynamic meta tag what so ever. So the solution could just be to start using our Dynamic meta tag mod, or while you're at it, to give a try to our SEO Premod to see all what's possible with our mods

So basically your saying even the latest version of phpbb forum does not create meta tags and descriptions dynamically? I thought it did when you leave the meta description and keyword tags in the overall header file blank?

What i wanted was a static meta description and keywords for the index page of the forum only and the rest of the pages in the forum to be created dynamically?

Please let me know on the above.

Also i went to download the mod from http://downloads.phpbb-seo.com/phpbb3-s ... gs-44.html

but when i click the download button i get the following message:

"Access denied!

You have no rights to do this!".

Will this mod work with any themed forum as long as its the latest 3.0.4 version?

Meta tags are not dynamic at all on phpBB3.

Please try to download the mod again, should work now
