Widgets for phpBB3 indicating new post

I use to use phpBB2 from a free forum and they have this widget option which allows us to put widgets on our forum keeping the members updated on new post and all...
How do we do this with phpBB3 version 3.0.5

Your talking about forummotion sorry this will not work with phpbb3, and plus its not really widgets it modules for the portal.

Or is there a way I can have that function o my forum coz I want my users to be aware of what's new.

Phpbb3 already has "view new post" but if your looking for something more complex their are a few i will look for it and post it when i can or do a search here http://phpbb.com

A simple way to do it would just be to use GYM sitemaps feeds, and aggregated them on external pages, with or without post content.
This of course implies that the external page is able to aggregate feeds, but it's another matter, and there are already many solution to do this (included in many cms).
