Disable website link in profile until certain post count

Hi guys,

I always get the best answers here about anything phpbb related. I prefer asking here to phpbb.com

Basically we are looking to disable users from adding a link to their website in their profile until they achieve 2 posts (reason being - if any bots get passed - I dont want them linking to some filthy site.)

We also wanted to see if we could filter the website links to exclude certain foul words.

Replace with :

Open memberlist.php, find :

      'U_WWW'         => (!empty($data['user_website'])) ? $data['user_website'] : '',

Replace with :

      'U_WWW'         => (!empty($data['user_website']) && $data['user_posts'] > 2) ? $data['user_website'] : '',

Note that you can replace the "2" with whatever number of post to reach before links can be displayed, on phpBB SEO it's 49

Can we disable Custom profile field till x no of post? Is yes how?

Is there any way we can show this information on profile page to those users who are trying to view their own profile with less than x no of post that this information will be visible after x no of post?

Well everything is possible, but dealing with custom profile fields is not as easy as just preventing some regular profile info to show up before x posts.

Isn't there a mod to do what you want already ?

I was looking for this (lot's of mods have lot's option which are unnecessary for me). Is it still working for phpbb 3.0.9?
Another question: is a possibility, that new registered users are allowed to add their website, but that website will be visible in their profile after 2 post? I thing it's much better for true users. After registering most of users fill their profile, so disallow them to add their website will be repulsive. So in my idea, user fills his profile with website, but it will be shown in profile (so backlink for him) after he write 2 post.
Only this doesn't work:

Adding the nofollow attribute is also an effective way of preventing spammers from registering, adding a website to their user profile and then make some random post to get a dofollow link: Nofollow in user Website

Oh thank you. I will use it when my forum will be attacked by spammers, but now I will "give" for my true users one backlink.
