phpbb Google cache topic stats

Postby iwanttobelieve » Fri Aug 21, 2009 3:39 am

Sorry for a confusing topic title, here it goes:

Normally when Google indexes a phpbb forum's topic, it will have some information under the title of a topic, like so:

The thing I want to talk about is the line: "15 posts - 9 authors - Last post: 6 Apr 2008".

I have modified the viewtopic_body.html a great deal compared to the original prosilver template, and that line now disappears. I am not sure how I can get that back.

Please tell me, thanks!

It's google to choose what to put in this description snippet, it's either coming from the content, the meta tags or the DMOZ description if available. There is not much you can do to change it, but if you have meta description, it will help out to put more priority on the content.
