SEO premod and Google site links

Postby coolhand » Wed Sep 05, 2012 2:55 am

Installed Seo Premod for my board a week ago manually, meaning that i have installed all the addons one by one without using the pre moded phpbb version.

Before the modding, my site links with google used to appear just "normal" and redirected to the right topic/forum.
Now they appear all wrong plus redicrecting users to the sitemap.
My domain's name is http://www.forosla.com, and if you Google search it you will see what i mean.
I have also included a screenshot.
What i am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Almost 1k views and no answer. I know this software is free and that I should be grateful to have it for free. Don't get me wrong. :| I just want it to work the way it is supposed to work and I have no clue on what the problem could be, otherwise I wouldn't be asking here. Been reading the forums, so far I found 1 similar problem (the difference is that I am not using Robots.txt file) and that's it. Can someone please help or at least point me to the right direction? :?:

The results from Google look correct to me: https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Awww.forosla.com

In your screenshot, you searched on "forosla.com" and thus Google tried to show sitelinks. But since there's so few results, it guessed poorly at what should (or could) be representative sitelinks. You could help Google make a better guess by improving your intra-site linking (e.g., by creating a navigation bar at the top so Google will recognize your forums as top-level). Keep in mind that as of today, your site only has 249 posts, so it's not unreasonable that Google guessed wrong at your sitelinks. That will improve over time.

FWIW, if later Google sitelinks are really wrong, you can "demote" them in Google Webmaster Tools. That will give Google the hint to try again.

Thank you much HB! All is clear now! I really appreciate it. I have great respect for people like you, helping newbies like me to understand this sort of "OMG now what!!!" things. Thank so much again!
