You can use the phpBB ACL for this: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=1707305

some of my forum are forbiden to robots, and I would like those forum (only those forum forbident to robots) would be with the meta robot "noindex".
is it possible to specify in phpbb_seo_meta.php that forum forbiden to robots > noindex ?

You could add this to overall_header.html in the <head> section:

Code: Select all
<!-- IF S_IS_BOT --><meta name="robots" content="noarchive,noindex,follow" /><!-- ENDIF -->

You could also change permissions such that robots would not be allowed to access the forum at all (robots are a separate group and you can manage their access separately; they'd see a login page if they try to access the URL). See https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=1792705 and read up on permissions if you want to go that route.

thank you for your answer and your help.
I think I didn't explain me well (excuse me for my bad english).
I have some forum allowed to bots, and some forum forbidden to bots. I would like that forum forbidden to bots have
Code: Select all
<meta name="robots" content="noindex,follow" />
and forum allowed to bots have
Code: Select all
<meta name="robots" content="index,follow" />

I don't see the point of serving a page to bots and telling them not to index it. Why not block them from reading it at all via the ACP / permissions? The only advantage, albeit tiny, is that the "follow" would allow bots to follow links. If you really want to do that, you can tweak this code in viewtopic.php:

Code: Select all
// Start auth check
if (!$auth->acl_get('f_read', $forum_id))
{
   if ($user->data['user_id'] != ANONYMOUS)
   {
      trigger_error('SORRY_AUTH_READ');
   }

   login_box('', $user->lang['LOGIN_VIEWFORUM']);
}

That is, add a check if it's a bot and set a flag that overall_header.html checks instead of returning them 'not authorized to read" or the login page.
