https to http redirect

Postby chealy » Sat Jun 22, 2013 10:51 am

I have an SSL on my site, but it's just for a section of the site that has nothing to do with the forum and therefore I don't need https in the fourms.

However, typing in https://www.mysite.com/forum/ will obviously leave you on the https version (with broken style sheets etc).

What I'm trying to do is come up with a .htaccess rewrite that will:

- automatically redirect all https://www.mysite.com/forum/rest_of_url requests to:

http://www.mysite.com/forum/rest_of_url

This should happen for both www and non-www https urls.

What do I need to include in .htaccess to achieve this? I have the full phpBB SEO premod installed.

Maybe someone here knows how to achieve that, people at http://www.webmasterworld.com/apache/ know it for sure.
I install and configure phpBB-SEO (and other mods) for a fair price and very fast. If you are interested simply send me a private message.
