Hello dear PHPBB SEO friends

I recently installed the Ultimate SEO URL mod and all seems fine, but today some friends report that some 404 error appear in some links.

I check my site and the error appear when some hit the latest topic icon in the index and inside the forum as you can see below:

I note that if someone enter to the forum and do a search to the last topic posted and hit in the title the topic show ok, and the URL is similar in the end with the link of the latest topic icon, and I don't know where I can patch my template (that is based in prosilver), because I follow all the instructions of installation.

Additionally I try the edit of some topic and when I saved the topic, the forum ever offer see the Topic saved but the URL had the same construction of the latest topic icon, i mean, something like:

http://www.iotopia.net/foros/post56007.html#p56007
instead of:
http://www.iotopia.net/foros/cuartel-ge ... tml#p56007
Like you can see below:

After edit, you can see the edited topic (automatic redirect) or choose to see the forum. In this example, the same topic of above was edited and the automatic redirect go to the 404 error, because the URL is not properly constructed:

My question is, where is the steps to patch this links or what files must be edited to correct this errors?

The mod is awesome, and works nicely, but I think that if this little errors are corrected the mod could reach the perfection

Note: I installed the GYM Sitemaps too, and seems to be OK.

Hello. It sounds like you missed a file edit to me. Can you double check that you have completed the following edit in viewtopic_body.html for all the styles you are using:

I would also double check your other edits to make sure you didn't miss any thing.

I re-check the file that you point me, but the line is completely edited.

UPDATE:

After a carefully revision of forums and read the installation, I found the error. I replace in .htaccess the line related to POST rewrite:

and forgot to edit the setup_phpbb_seo.php

And of course, after done this fix, I rebuild my .htaccess and clean the cache.

Seeing post url (postxx.html or viewtopic.php?p=xx) under some circumstances is not an issue in itself, the issue you're facing here is an .htaccess one with the post rewriterule.

Since other links do work, try to generate a new one and implement it, should fix it.

Just notice that post urls being duplicate of topic urls, the zero duplicate can HTTP301 redirect them and the no duplicate mod can replace post urls with corresponding topic ones on index, forum and topic pages
