Phpbb seo and portal

Postby jason102178 » Tue Dec 11, 2012 11:40 pm

I know this has prolly been answered somewere but i could not seem to find anything on it, i was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction...

Phpbb seo worked perfectly the user friendly urls are what i wanted but something strange is going on, i wanted to install the mod phpbb portal and all the links still work, except the board index links...

all of them are showing the board index of example.com/forum when they should be showing and pointing to example.com/forum/index.php this seems to be the link to get me to my forum, do you know how to fix this.

update:

I guess i am getting somewere i found out that if i remove

Code: Select all
DirectoryIndex portal.php index.php index.html index.htm

from phpbb then the board links work correctly

but it makes it so when you go to example.com/forum that the forum shows instead of the portal

so i need to figure out a way to make the board index links all point to example.com/forum/index.php

so heres another update, this is what i have done, i went to the settings of phpbb seo i turned off all the settings for the mod re write and selected no for every option except i left the option to activate mod re write then i cleared the cache in template and theme and board then i went to my site and the board index link still did not say index, php at the end oh and i updated my .htacess since i turned off all the features under phpbb seo...

so then i went to into phpbb sep settings and selected no to de activate phpbb seo then i clicked saved, then cleared and purged the cache and wola it worked again when i go to my forum and click on the link for board index it goes to example.com/forum/index.php like it should...

so if someone could please help me figure this out i would really really appreciate it, i have posted several other topics with no reply so i am hoping someone will at least reply to this one, it seems like no one is moderating the forum i dunno
