Postby Bl0rg » Wed Apr 23, 2008 8:23 pm

I followed all the directions, including emptying the cache, and absolutely nothing happened...any suggestions?

Have you modded templates (overall_header.html) for all styles including the one you're using ?

Have you cleared the cache after you did ?

Do you see "Page 2" within a topic's second page title ?

I have the same problem.
I followed the instructions in the phpBB3-SEO_Optimal_titlesV1.0.2.txt.
I also edited the overall_header.html of the theme i'm using.

But nothing happens after deleting the cash.

First i though it might be because i'm using a german version (i edited language/de/common.php too) , but even if i change to english language nothing happens.

any ideas, tips hints what i did wrong ?

I'm using a phpbb 3.0.1 by the way

URL ?

Don't you see any change in page titles ? In page 2 of a forum or a topic ?

Did you mod all your themes ?

I have the same problem as coyut. I'm also running 3.0.1. The title is just empty: <title></title>. Nothing happens. I moded everything, cleared the cache 3x way, hard refreshed my browser and nothing. dcz: if you want I can post you my link. But it seems it doesn't work with 3.0.1.

UPDATE: Now it works. I had to assign 'PAGE_TITLE' in viewtopic.php and viewforum.php.

Well, it should be assigned in page_header() (includes/functions.php), please double check the changes you made while installing the optimal title mode in the includes/functions.php file.

What changes in includes/functions.php? I didn't change anything. Only:

Code: Select all
## Files To Edit:    (5)
##         language/en/common.php,
##         search.php,
##         templates/subSilver/overall_header.tpl,
##         viewforum.php,
##         viewtopic.php

Sorry my fault, I guess I got confused with the meta tag mod for a moment.

So, this mod is very unlikely to fail, and code changes are quite few, could you double check them and if not enough, post or PM your forum url ?

Your forum is currently unreachable (redirected to -http://www.houseexchangewanted.co.uk/%5C/forum.html), so it's hard to tell.

Have you cleared the template's cache though the style acp ?
