The title shows as index page, why? I have named it in the settings as "Kings Of Leon Fan Site Forum". Tell me how to solve this

Once you will have installed the mod, you will have to empty the phpBB/cache/ folder before the mod will fully work,
just delete all files BUT the .htaccess.

By Default, this mod will use the INDEX language key as forum index title, this is done like this in order to
allow portals to use the config sitename in case there is one.

You can change it in languages/en/common.php :

'INDEX' => 'Index page',

Hi so if i change the

'INDEX' => 'Index page'

to

'INDEX' => ''

this will be ok? And it will not display the Index Page text in the title bar of Internet Explorer?

Would be better to replace it with the actual title you may prefer to use.

Well, I was saying this in regards to the mod's code, not your personal additions to it. In the normal run you could just have used :
Code: Select all
'INDEX' => 'The Marketing Forum',

without any more changes.

Would be better to use our Optimal title mod, but you can just replace :
Code: Select all
page_header($user->lang['INDEX']);

with :
Code: Select all
page_header('');

in index.php to do what you want.

Ok downloaded the mod from here [Toolkit] phpBB SEO Optimal titles V 1.0.6

Is the correct one?

Also does it work with the latest version of phpbb forum 3.0.4 and 3.0.5?

Yes that is the mod for enhancing the page titles.

This mod is up to date and intended for use on 3.0.5.

We always recommend users keep their site/software up to date. All install instructions and testing for this mod were done using 3.0.5 and that is the version it officially supports.

I would recommend updating the 3.0.4 board to 3.0.5 and then installing the Optimal Titles 1.0.6.

Happy SEO'ing.
