If you do so, you'll display the same exact meta tags for each pages, and it's actually worst than no meta at all SEOwise.

Install our Dynamic meta tag mod instead, the forum index meta tags are build using the board site name and description (so you can change them in acp), each forum meta are build using the forum titles and descriptions (again editable in acp), and topic/post meta tags are built using the topic's first post content and title.
