Virtual Folder

Postby fadetoblack22 » Sun Jun 28, 2009 7:00 pm

When I enable the Virtual Folder none of my pages except the home pages seem to display with the stylesheet. All the page content is unstyled.

Has anyone had this problem and know how to solve it?

thanks.

It's like THE issue, you just need to implement all the required code changes in all your styles templates.

Why should the stylesheet not work? Its called into the head file which is the same on every page. So the path should not change.

Sounds like you're missing the base ref tag:

Code: Select all
<base href="http://www.yoursite.com/phpBB3/" />

Why is not the question, and we did not mention style-sheet, but templates ;)

Ok, basically I don't understand. There wasn't anything that I saw in the documentation about changing things in the template.

Did you read the install file ? Because if not, you just did not install the mod at all.

Its part of the pre mod. I read the support forum about it and it didn't say anything there.

That's why we ask our user to post in the appropriate forum, for everybody to understand what are we talking about, topic moved.

Then yes, the premod does not require any code change, but extra styles does : Prosilver / subsilver2 code changes

Ok, sorry I didn't realise I posted it in the wrong area.

I am using a custom style/theme. Are you saying that it needs some changes for the virtual folders to work? Everything else for the premod works except the virtual folders.

You need to take the code changes from the style that your template was based on, either prosilver or subsilver2, then you need to do the edits in the link that dcz provided.

Do not be suprised if you run into edits that you cannot find in your files, custom styles are just that, custom, and if they were exactly the same as the style they were based on, well, there would be no point. In the end, every edit is important, you can't skip any so if you can't figure out where one goes, you need to ask for help.

Custom styles are a pain, period, and without some basic html knowledge, they can be pretty difficult to do.

Good luck.
